I empathize with your pain, but just think how much better it is to be free. You have to learn how to pick 'em. An unfaithful spouse is not worth a seconds thought. Make sure your lawyer applies for maintenance. You appear to have good evidence. File for divorce! . Millions of men and women have have experience the pain of infidelity unfaithful spouse and gone on to find and live happy and fulfilled lives. Why should it not be you? But if you cannot be happy at least you can be miserable in comfort at his expense. Hey lady its great to be alive. So many things to do and people to meet.

I think you need to establish where your statistics come from.
Atheists by definition have no respect for Gods law and therefor no respect for his marriage arrangement. Many feel it is alright just to live together and split when they fancy a change.
In UK many young women can live a better life as a single parent on benefits and a house provided by the state. What incentive is there to have a husband especially a drunk, druggie or sexual pervert who may become violent.
The result; you may have seen the riots in Britain, in the news caused by Ferrel kids who imagine that everybody else owes them a free living.
On the other hand I call regularly on atheistic families who do have good marriages and very respectful children.
Then again there are so many divisions in what people think is Christianity it is hardly surprising that their are double standards and incompatibility not to mention physical abuse.

I should confess though that I am an old battle scarred campaigner. I have been threatened with knives, a shot gun on one occasion, and a meat cleaver. I have been denounced from the pulpit on two occasions that I know of a probably a lot more that I don't know of. I have leaned that when Holy Jo's are calling me they are leaving someone else alone. Have not been flogged or imprisoned yet, but many times falsely accused many times by people with collars back to front.
BUT Persecution in itself is not proof of discipleship. Ones religious belief is often very personal and most people are horrified at the notion that their religion is seriously contaminated with false ideas and doctrine that are seriously offensive to the God and father of our Lord Jesus.
