According to color theory, which IS am actual science, the color that will look best next to and which will be most appealing, is the "complementary color" or the color that is opposite that color on the color wheel. Opposite blue we would find golden brown shades. For eye shadow, if you want those blue eyes to appear even more intensely blue, wear golden-brown eye shadow, with dark brown eyeliner and black or darkest brown mascara. This is best for blue eyes that have a little bit of aqua in them. If your eyes are a cooler blue tone, you can experiment with different kinds of browns, which may be more russet-like, or more like bark brown, or taupe. Taupe is s greyish brown hue that is very complementary to blue eyes, and is an excellent neutral shade for everyday wear for women with blue eyes. Contrary to popular belief, wearing blue eye shadow or blue eyeliner does NOT bring out or intensify the blueness of blue eyes - in fact, quite the opposite, because, by comparison, the intensity of the blue in the eye shadow is almost always going to make the blue of the eyes seem less intense.
By the same token, women with brown eyes can look great in blue tones of eye shadow, because it brings out the intensity of the brown-ness of their eyes.
But, it's always fun to experiment and I encourage ladies to try different color combi9nations - esp. dependent upon the dominant color of your outfit. your skin tone, ethnicity, etc. - all need to be taken into consideration. ,

"After Robert had seen Sharon again, after so many years, he could not help feeling a bit nostalgic about their days together back in high school."
Nostalgic, or feelings of nostalgia, refer to feelings that you have about past times, usually looking back on your younger days or on relationships or activities that you had in the past. It is sometimes a feeling of wistful longing to re-experience those things, as you felt them back in the past. Often refers to a time when a person was more innocent or naïve about life, or a sense of longing, or wishing, for a simpler, less complicated way of life, as in one's childhood, or small-town life, in comparison with the complexity of adult ;life or life in the big city, etc. Older people tend to experience more nostalgic feelings than young people, simply because they have lived long enough to see and experience great changes in their own lives and in the life of society in general. Because of this, they often long for things to be like they were in the past. when they were younger, and their lives were simpler, less complicated or less busy. They may not like the way society has changed, or current values of morality, so they feel nostalgic about the way things were when they were kids or teenagers.

"The youngster had been sent to juvenile hall because both his parents and his teachers had found him to be incorrigible."
Incorrigible means recalcitrant or impervious to correction - someone with no respect for authority, who does not take directions or follow orders, or respond to discipline. A kid with a really bad attitude may be incorrigible - talks back rudely to parents, teachers & authority figures, is chronically truant, sneaks out at night, or boldly just leaves & comes back only when he pleases, etc.
