You have to take the time to pay attention to his signals. Feed him no more than 2 times a day. 1 cup of food for no more than 20 minutes. remove the food and do NOT give it back to him. Take him out for a walk within an hour after he eats. If he doesn't go then, you take him back out for a walk in another half hour. Continue that way until he goes. Do the same at night. Feed him at the same time every day and for the same amount of time. NEVER leave the food on the floor. ALWAYS walk him so you can SEE that he goes. Walking stimulates the dog to go. Clean your carpets and floors and gate him into an area that will be easy to clean if he has an accident. If he does have an accident, you immediately scoop some of it up, take it AND him outside to the grass and show him where it goes and walk him again. Clean the rest when you come in. Praise him when he goes on his walk.When he IS making his poop, tell himm good boy, make a poop. He will learn to associate the words make a poop with the action and eventually will even go on command. I have taught MANY dogs to do this and I continue to do so. I have trained my daughter's 3 dogs and my son's dog. My daughter has 2 mutts and a pure breed Dachshund. The mutts were easy, the Dachshund was a little harder. If you really want a tough dog to train, try my son's Maltese. They are the most stubborn dumbest dogs ever and he goes on command the best. He was already a 2 year old dog and stuck in his ways when I started training him and I had him trained in 2 weeks part time. I only got him at my house 3 days a week and they weren't even 3 days in a row. The worst part was that my son and his wife didn't even reinforce it at home. THAT is a tough teach. You can do it. Start with a clean house and a baby gate in the kitchen area. Use newspaper in the kitchen for him to poop on or buy the poopy pads they sell in the pet store for him to use if you have to go out. ALWAYS keep an eye on him.

If there are no consequences for their actions then their actions will continue. Try giving back what they get and you will see it stop. If it bothers you when they make a lot of annoying noise, find something that annoys them and do it back to them. When they complain about it then you let them know that every time they annoy you, you will do the same to them. If that doesn't work, hit them where it really hurts, take away what they love and don't give it back for a while, like until their behavior improves. If it doesn't improve then you take more away. If food is what they love, take that away. There is ALWAYS a way of hitting below the belt. YOU are the parent, TAKE CONTROL!!!

You have SEVERAL good answers, make your choice or use them all, but first of all, BE THE PARENT!

Having been in many earthquakes already, including one today, I say a mild earthquake is any that is below a 3.0 on the reichter scale and that doesn't cause any damage.

Your best bet is not to BUY a dog but to go to the shelter and look for a small dog that is quiet. Do your research through the internet. Look for a low key dog. You don't want a high energy dog because then they will require a lot of running room and they might tear your things apart while you are at work. Look for a lazy type dog, maybe a miniature dachshund. They spend a lot of time sleeping. Look for a quiet dog so they won't bother your neighbors with their barking all day long when they hear someone walking down the halls. If you go to the shelter, you might be able to save a mixture breed who is about to be put to death because they can't afford to keep them for too long because of costs. Mixture breeds usually turn out to be much more controllable and loveable. They train more easily.

If you really feel the need to purchase a pure breed, do your homework. Make sure you are dealing with a REPUTABLE breeder. Do NOT allow them to meet you somewhere to see the puppies they have. That could mean that you are dealing with a puppy mill and those are usually abused and over crowded puppy breeding facilities and inbreeding occurs.You WANT to see that where the puppies come from is a friendly loving CLEAN home where they are playing and have room to run outdoors as well as indoors. You want to see where they sleep at night. If you see rows and rows of cages on top of each other, leave. If there is filth everywhere, leave. If there are about 50 dogs and odor of feces everywhere, you don't want a pup from there because that might mean that your puppy's mother might also be it's sister. It is  a buyer beware world out there. Pet stores usually get their puppies from a puppy mill so if you are concerned about breeding, be careful and do your homework and research, research, research before you buy. Read about the breed you are interested in and then go and check them out first.

A puppy can usually leave the litter when it is weaned from it's mother. By somewhere between 6 and 8 weeks.

If she's peeing in the house then she's NOT trained. Trained dogs do not pee in the house. Did you clean the areas that she tends to pee in? did you treat them with febreeze? Do you take her out frequently to go pee? If not then she will continue. Watch when she goes. Grab her as she is going and yell NO! Take her out IMMEDIATELY and walk her. Don't just put her outside. Walking stimulates the dogs to go potty. Putting them outside is not the answer. You need to watch her constantly. If you are not home when she pees then cage her when you are not home because a caged dog will not pee where she sleeps.

Early spring. I did it for the first time this year. I planted red potatoes. They are just about ready to pull up. I am so excited.

Shampoo your carpets with a carpet shampooer and after it is dry then use febreeze. Believe it or not, if you soak it with febreeze, that stuff works. I don't mean to leave it wet through, I just meant to use a good amount. Febreeze really gets the odor out. I have used it on pee odors in bathroom carpets from lazy boys and it took that out.
