I don't know that I have a religion per say, but I believe in God as my savior. He died on the cross for my sins so that I can go to heaven.
As for you fasting, I do not know what fasting has to do with you swearing. If you become grouchy, then maybe you shouldn't fast. Swearing is not caused by fasting. Swearing is a choice just as fasting is. I assume you fast because it is to attone for the wrongs you feel you have done against your God. Swearing is also against your God, isn't it? Would your God want you to do that? My God tells me to " Do unto others as I would have them do unto me" I try to use that as a guideline for myself. If I want someone to treat me nicely, I will treat them nicely first. If they still don't treat me nicely, I smile at them and walk away. I do not need to be treated badly and I do not allow it to happen. That is how I keep myself from being a bad person. I thank God that he shows me that I do NOT have to take it from anyone by walking away. I don't feed into their immature behavior by giving it back to them. I try to give them kindness first. If that doesn't work, I walk away. That is how it works.
