The short answer is either:-
1) Export from Picasa to a USB Memory Stick (assuming your TV has a USB Port and can view Pictures from that)
or
2) The second option is a bit more complicated. You can use Picasa to create the Slide Show as a Movie, but there is no option available to write that to CD/DVD in Picasa. For this you will need to use Windows DVD Maker and then you can play this Movie using a standard DVD Player on your TV.
Both these options are generally not easy to use for a novice and you would be well advised to read all the Help Files with both applications and do some tests in advance.

Perhaps the word "Doomsday" was the wrong word to use. It might have been more explicit to refer it as the time when we manage to eradicate mankind by our own stupidity.
