How do I change the font size?

If you want to change the font size in your browser click on "View" and access "Zoom".
If you mean changing the icon size on your screen go to "My Computer" and click on "Control Panel" then access "Display". Finally click on the "Settings". From there you can change the resolution by sliding the pointed tab under "Screen area". The lower the resolution the larger will be your icons, and vice versa.

An excellent source for reading the beeps (as Vinny mentions) is sysopt.com which has an exhaustive list of "Definitions and Solutions for BIOS Error Beeps and Messages/Codes."
If it's a series of beeps evenly spaced then it would indicate a memory malfunction (failed, missing, or not seated properly in the socket).
If it's a series of nine or ten beeps than it would indicate a motherboard system failure.

If you're using Windows click on the Start button, and from the program list click on Accessories, then System Tools, and finally Disk Cleanup. The application lists files that can be safely removed at your discretion.

Don't worry about speed; the gHz refers to the processor chip but typically the motherboard speed is a lot slower. The more important spec is the amount of memory, especially if you multitask while watching online videos. One gigabyte of memory for XP and later Windows should be adequate for the average user.

If you're using Windows the solution is right there. Go to My Computer, click on Control Panel and then Power Management. It has all kinds of timing options including "Never" turn off computer.

I would be VERY careful of downloading any program that scans your system or clams to be able to fix it, unless you know the source. Viruses, worms, and bots are more and more being imbedded in bogus scanning downloads. The safest way is to go to a computer retail store like Office Max and purchase the CD's in a box.
