if the engine is  equiped with a spark module or a tdc sensor, YOU CAN NOT. ...but, modules usually are not the problem ... it is where tjhe moddule gets a tdc ( top dead center) reading .                     

on most atv's it recieves this underneth the fly wheel which also works with the masgneto. do REAL CLOSE inspection on wire routing and fastening coming from undetrneth the fly wheel protective cover and follow to the control junction.properly pull the fly wheel an onme wires from point A  to  B.
