Its time for a For and Against vote. Do you believe in God or Not? *stand up and be counted*
Answers: 84 Views: 6654 Rating: 22 Posted: 13 years ago

Christians, Buddhists, Hare Krishnas, Muslims, even Pagans believe in "a God!" We, all of us, are spiritual creatures. We feel the presence of the spiritual realm in one way or the other. Why are there so many billions of people in the world who believe in "a God?" Because God exists. Even the Athiests feel the tug. They are spiritual in their disbelief. Do I believe in God? YES!! Which God is the right one. Who knows? I believe in the God of Christianity. You may believe in the Pagan Gods,Buddha, etc. I'm committed to my belief because God is everywhere and in everyone. He provides for everyone everywhere. Millions of people have seen some kind of the spiritual realm. Many have a 6th sense that allows them access to it. Miracles have occured that can only be defined as spiritual in nature. Yea, God exists. Believe, dont believe. Life is all about choice. Choose to or choose not to. But choose. Then hope, or for most, pray that you've made the right choice.

judging a person
Answers: 7 Views: 2038 Rating: 0 Posted: 13 years ago

Looks first, that gets you past the 1rst hurdle. Gotta be pleasing to the eye. Then after some conversation you'll know if they possess some knowledge and whether they like the same things you like. Then after you've known them awhile and see how they treat you then you can get some idea of their personality. But by then it usually too late cause you've already let them know where you live and your phone number, where you work and who your other friends are. So if it's not all that important go with George Buckleys post. If you really want to know the person engage them as a friend and find out who they are.

If all the Christians suddenly disappeared off this site would you be happy?
Answers: 28 Views: 3921 Rating: 12 Posted: 13 years ago

You can condemn Christianity by the bad acts of a few without actually understanding the good it creates in the many. Islam is being looked at the same way. If you find something good and it is actually "good" people will come out to bash it because of it's very nature. Some people will read into it something to justify a reason to kill and create chaos when all it was intended to do is bring people into a better way of life. Mankind is the failure, not the religion. People kill people, people corrupt people, people destroy the good because they cant stand it. Those of you who comment here about how bad Christianity is dont understand it. Dont want to. Dont care if others want to. They just hate it and thats that. Your right not be forced to believe in it is written into the constitution and our right to believe in it is as well. Atheism is a religion just like all the others. It's a belief not to believe. It's forced on us just like all the other religions are forced on us. We create our own turmoil and live in our own well seasoned pool of misguided intentions. The only thing certain is we hate, we intolerate, and our fate is to live in it like turds in a sewer. We must love the swim because it's the season for it.

Do you believe in euthanasia for the elderly?
Answers: 10 Views: 1376 Rating: 1 Posted: 13 years ago

It becomes a matter of the value we place on human life. Like abortion it becomes a decision of whether a person has a right to life and that decision is being made by someone else who feels that life is a burdon on their life style. After awhile it becomes a decision made by the state as euthanasia becomes more popular. Value placed on a person life will become market driven. It is inevitable. If you cannot prove your right to exist then you will die.If your productive output percentage doesn't exceed your intake percentage then you will die.

Value of human life has been becoming cheaper ever since Roe v Wade became law. Life there is based on a whim. Dont want it, kill it. Cant afford it right now, kill it. Cheap life, Cheap death. If we are bound to have our lives judged based on cost analysis and our ability to serve the common good then maybe we should be killed and turned into food to feed those more worthy. Then at least we can be served up as something good, eh?

The matter of personnal choice to die when our bodies no longer serve us, kill us to make way for the next generation of cheap life coming down the pike. At least they can serve the public some good. I believe the bible says it correctly, "for to live is Christ." To live and to let live defines us as a moral and just people. To kill for the sake of a whim or for cost analysis is a path to an immoral and unjust society.

Creationist or Evolutionist
Answers: 17 Views: 1746 Rating: 0 Posted: 13 years ago

Think about this, we humans are able to think and dream beyond the diminsion we live in. We have a concept of time and space that transcends what we see, hear and feel. We can reason and think beyond the scope of our immediate needs and are not bound by a set pack mentality. As a human we stand apart from every other form of nature on this planet. We can reach out with our minds and sense the presence of the spiritual realm as well as the physical, no other creature on this planet can do that. What other creature believes in something or someone larger than itself? Have scientists proved the evolution of man by showing an actual example of it? I think not. That doesn't mean it didn't happen. I believe we are created life forms. Proof of that? Nope. But our place in the scheme of things shows there is a much larger picture of where we fit in than our mortal brains can fathom. The question asked then becomes a matter of belief over a matter of fact. No proof exists either way. Until then I tend to believe in creation over evolution.

What is the most unbelievable aspect of Christianity?
Answers: 97 Views: 22291 Rating: 5 Posted: 13 years ago

I lend myself to a belief in God because I cannot believe man has ever transcended the chaos he creates for himself. The most unbelievable aspect of Christianity is that people twist it into their own form of hate for hates sake. The teachings of Jesus Christ are lessons we as human beings should embrace but dont because it calls for us to truely love and forgive those who hurt us and hate us. It calls for us to live our lives in a moral and ethical way. And to treat others in a way we would want to be treated. And above all to love God with all your heart, all your soul, and to love your neigbor as you love yourself.

Can we believe that he is the son of God and that he died for our sins? That he was crucified, was dead, and arose to transcend this life into a spiritual being that now sits in heaven? That when he died we who believe in him whom God hath sent will be given eternal life along with him in Gods Holy Kingdom instead of eternal life in a pit of fire and brimstone? That is for you to work out with yourself. But ask yourself this, what if your dis-belief is wrong and that day comes when Christ breaks through the sky to reclaim the Earth for his people. And you're standing on the wrong side of things. That will be an eternity I dont want to exist in.

I believe in all the things the Bible says about our Lord Jesus Christ. I live my life that way. If in the end it's not true then I perish into dust forgotten like those who have preceded me. But I know I will be standing with the angels as Christ lays waste to the kingdon of the Lord of the flies and his fallen multitude. I hope not to see you down there among them.

What is the most unbelievable aspect of Christianity?
Answers: 97 Views: 22291 Rating: 5 Posted: 13 years ago

I lend myself to the higher power of God because I cannot place myself souly in the hands of man. The most unbelievable aspect of Christianity is that people can take something so full of love and forgiveness, so right and turn it into something so wrong. Whether you have faith or not the teachings of Jesus Christ are bound in the very things we as human beings should be embracing. Yet the human heart and soul seeks the base element and not the full structure. Hate for hates sake, the embrace of the dark path seems humanities only path and that is why I find faith in the holy trinity of Gods love so enlightening and I embrace that. Belief in man will only lead to disaster and disillusionment. We all need to seek a higher power than ourselves to rise above the fray of chaos we create for ourselves. What man creates falls to dust and will be forgotten. But the what God creates has lasted throughout all time. The mysteries of the universe abound with fantastical science we cannot wrap our little minds around yet it's there for our eyes to see. Let it be and let God live in your hearts in whatever form he may come to you in. Let go and let God.
