I did something wrong and lost all my incoming mail. How can I get them back

This something that sometimes will correct itself. If not this is definitely a call your provider time. Don't go round and round when a call to the provider can resolve it much faster.

If all else fails call your email provider and ask this question. There are times that calling the provider is a necessary evil. I know because I have gone round and round with what seemed like an easy task only to find out that like all computer projects you have to do it a certain way for it to work.

if a Microsoft update takes more than six hours to complete is it corrupted?

First you should always be checking manually what updates are to be down loaded. It is best to have all updates added manually for this reason. With 24 updates some could be conflicting updates or updates you really don't need because you don't have a certain program that is calling for an update. When you have these many updates happening at once they can bog down your computer. I have had three updates get stuck where they won't finish updating. Try using task manager to end the updating task or just turn off your computer by pushing and holding the button u push to start the computer. sometimes this will take several attempts to get the updates to stop. Then turn off automatic up dates and go into microsoft updates manually thru Internet explorer see if you can access your history of updates to see if you can find what has been downloaded recently. Then click on updates and see what shows up. uncheck any update that is for a program you do not have on your computer. Try this and see what happens
