The Sims series, probably the most played game series since its creation in 2000 and the best-selling PC game in history (!) is already making voices of the next game to come: The Sims 4. With an Incredibly huge base of addicted fans and millions of players around the globe, the rumors and expectations of the Sims 4 started almost immediately after the Sims 3 was released.

The Sims 4 release date hadn’t been set so far, nor an official announcement of the game been declared. However, there is some good news either: The Sims 4 will be the next game of the Sims series.

Further than that, The Sims 4 development had been started, those according to multiple rumors running across the net including an EA insider. This assumption is only got strengthen with the registration of the thesims4.com domain, which had been confirmed recently. Registering the sims 4 domain name is widely considered as a sign that EA games had started the development of the game, and actually confirms the rumors of the Sims 4 as the next game in the Sims series.

However, let’s not forget that the current game in the Sims series, The Sims 3, is still alive and kicking with new expansion and stuff packages still being released. With the next expansion to be released, The Sims 3 Showtime at march 6th, 2012 , and probably more to come, the Sims 3 is still not behind the times and not finished its job as the last game of the Sims series for anytime soon.

The assumption of the Sims 4 release, considering the Sims 3 expansions to come, is that the Sims 4 will be released not far from the beginning of 2014 and probably even sooner. However the official announcement of the game, with all the rumors going on, is closer than ever.
