Your metabolism is exhibiting what's called the Dawn Phenomena, where your liver gives you an extra boost of glucose in the morning so that you can go hunt or gather. It's an evolutionary advantage leftover from before we had grocery stores. It shows up in almost all mammals, but it's vestigial in humans because we have access to carbs 24/7 nowadays.
But a rise of 5 points overnight is nothing. There's always a 10% margin for error when you use home glucometers and even then, it's not really anything to worry about. If the other times, the rise had been more drastic, like 20,30,40 points, then that's the Dawn Phenomena. And I don't think you need to do anything about it, as your blood sugars aren't unhealthiliy high, just slightly elevated. And you sound like you know what's going on otherwise, so I thinkn you should just not worry about it.
