My ex husband makes it very costly and time consuming to get any financial information out of him. We have a teen who lives with me well over half the year. I also shop and pay for clothes, shoes, summer camp, school lunch, doctors visits, etc.
I have his social security number, phone number and address.
I want to know if he might owe me child support without his getting threatening and difficult.

If you're thinking about getting a divorce, let your lawyer deal with this aspect, he can demand through the court that all wages etc. are revealed during the divorce so that support etc. can be calculated.
If you're not seeking a divorce, you should open up the lines of communication for both your sakes. This isn't the dark ages, women shouldn't be kept in the dark about such matters. If he refuses, I would suggest seeking a marriage counselor.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. We are already divorced. We were making about equal salaries when we were divorced and custody was 50/50. NOW custody is more like 90/10 and my ex is mostlikely making a lot more than I. But when I ask him for information, I'm either forced to involve my attorney, and am out $500.00.
I just want the information without the hassel. If he knows I'm looking for his financial info., there will be great hassles.
