I have studied all religions of the world, in Bible college. I don't assume to try to sway peoples beliefs towards my truth, that is between them and God. I can only give the best opinion on the research I have done.

My suggestion to everyone is whether they believe or not, is to research all the information available to them. There are vast amounts of near death experience accounts out there, as well as religious information. If you believe you have a soul and value it, you should hold yourself accountable to do the research yourself.

Then you can arrive at your own conclusion. I have researched theology for many years and have arrived at my own conclusion. The important thing to do is the research yourselves.
The problem with being in hell for eternity is if you have spent a million years there, it doesn't change the amount of time you have left to spend there.

It's not a prison term where you can serve a certain amount of time and you only have ten years left, it is forever and ever. The story about Abraham's bosom is a good example of how once in hell, everyone is a believer, but by then it's to late.

Whether you believe or not doesn't change absolute truth. If you say there is no absolute truth, that's absolute in its self.
I'm afraid so. 'cause the God you talk about is vengeful and full of hatred. I'm glad I'm not in your shoes.

    Yes it is eternal.

We are all formed as eternal spirits, and will exist as such, either with God or not. Hell is the absence of the Love of God, which some will prefer. The "burning" is a metaphor for their self consuming eternal demise in the absence of Love.

Some have stated that a God of Love would not send someone to hell for eternity. God doesn't send anyone to hell, we are born in default of it as our destination, and it is a choice of our own free-willed spirit to choose the resurrection plan Jesus described, or not. God is also a God of Justice, and therefore will grant the ones who don't accept His resurrection plan for escape from Hell, their choice of Hell away from Him.

AMEN BROTHER I KNOW THE ANSWER AS WELL , BUT WE NEED TO THROW IT OUT(THIS QUESTION) THERE TO GET PEOPLE THINKING ABOUT THE TRUTH

Not that I'm christian, but no, according to the scriptures there is a choice between following God to Heaven by obeying him or being 'consumed by fire', but not for eternity. Your soul vanishes. If you are a christian, there is no eternal hell.

You know someone to said the other day,a very switched on 16 y/o lassie. She said if heaven is meant to be up above and hell down below then we must be in hell.Course she was pointing out the absurdities of a lot of christian rhetoric but couldnt help smiling at the irony in what she was saying.
Also as a quick aside I find the comment above about putting this question out there to get people thinking as a touch sinister, has the distinct air of an agenda.
Is hell eternal ??,well if it is then surely roasting in the fires of hell will loose it's sting after a millenia or two.
Mind you i watched this documentary on religion and they had this recording taken from deep down a well sunk into the earth looking for gas in Russia,,anyway the recording was masses of human voices wailing and moaning in despair. They touted it as proof of hell.Nonsense maybe but it gave me the shivers all the same

I THINK THE MEANING OF LIFE IS THE BEGAINNIG OF LIFE TO BE BORN TO DIE.NOW YOU HAVE THE CHORES TO LIVE FOR EVERY OR DIE FOR EVERY.BUT IF YOU WERE NOT BORN YOU WILL NOT HAVE THE CHANCE TO Chouse LIFE OR DEATH.FOR SOOM RESON GOD WHANT USE TO EXPERIENCE LIFE ON EARTH BEFORE WE CAN BECOME A FULL SPIRIT MAN.IN ORDER TO LIVE IN WITH HIM.I BELIEVE IN THE BIBLE SAID YOU CAN'T LOOK AT GOD AND LIVE.SO YOU HAVE TO DIE FIRST

Only the fallen angels have everlasting hellfire. Those who are judged in the second resurrection have a choice of becoming part of God's kingdom through obedience or going to hell. Once there, they are consumed by fire. The first resurrection includes only the saint who have loved, obeyed and followed God's commandments. A merciful God will not let people suffer for eternity. I wish I could remember the verses that refer to this, if I can find, I will post.
