If you could go back in time and live anywhere in any era, where would you choose and why would you choose it?

I think I would like to live in CA in the 1860's, the Wild, Wild, West. It would be a cool time and place to live.

I'm a history buff, just wondering where, why, and when you'd choose?

Back during world war II. We had our own big farm and  and I used to put kittens in my doll carriage and  went for a stoll through our village, and took naps with our sheepdog Barry in his Dog House..

Nice pic, hope you will have an even better dog some day soon.
I'd come in a covered wagon to the west coast to get the gold. what year 1849? I LOVE to move.
    itsmee

I'd come from the east coast, of course.

I notice that most guys like to go back to the wild wild west or roman days....a male thing I guess but very much OK....however, women were generally treated like objects, possesions, should be submissive and all that crap...me, I'd go back to the 60's and live in the midwest...so many changes back then and some really wonderful and a few bad but oh so ienlightening....a really interesting and thought provoking decade that was...just think about it..I'm so happy to have lived it!...(:

1990. I'd buy all of the dot.com and telecom stocks and sell them in 1999.

That would be a smart move. Yahoo.

That couldn't happen. I would become my younger self knowing all, as I do now :)

I always wanted to live back in the wild wild west.  When time's we hard but simpler.  I would love to have had a farm and live off the land.    Before we had all these laws and people interfering with the way you want to live.  Although I think I would miss my car and my internet  or just electric service, and plumbing.  I don't know I sure do like all of the comforts of home I have now but it would be fun to try something different  maybe for a few months.

Good answer thanks, I think I'd miss air conditioner the most. LOL
    Black3

Me too. As I was typing it, I read it to my husband and he was laughing "saying you couldn't live there long without air conditioning." I said "your right I really hate the heat". I'd be crying to come home after the first day. But it's a fun thought.

    we all love dogs
