nobody should judge anybody, because in the end , no matter how much you achieve in this life, your a weak human being who will always go to sleep at night , a human being who will always be weak no matter what, so leave the judgment of losers and winners to god and god only.

I think most of the world views a loser as someone who doesn't have much stuff, or has scrubby clothes, and if he or she even drives a car, its a piece of crap. Basically the less fortunate people, on the psychological side someone who is a underachiever, or just a jerk of a person. Some of us view a loser as a person who is self absorbed, vain, and only cares for him or herself and no one else, no matter how much money they have.
Sometimes it's not a money thing, but It seems like most people look at the homeless as losers.
I have friends that stay home, don't work, and play a lot of video games, they get called loser often enough. It seems like the people who have to put others down are the ones just trying to feel better about themselves. It's a shame people can be so cruel, we judge others without knowing what put them into the dire circumstances that they wound up in.
So I'm sure there are many definitions of loser, but sometimes its best to keep your opinion to yourself and give a person the benefit of the doubt. Mostly it's the combination of a persons situations and flaws that get them called names. It's just to bad people aren't a little nicer.

Touché! But if imagining hurting the others the same as actually doing it? For example, a professional boxer imagines punching and taking out his opponent, so does that make him a loser or a winner if he defeats his opponent?

I'm referring to MEN who have MOMMY take care of them LONG into adult life while the wait for the "right woman" to come along.
Sorry if I offended anyone over 40 that's still living with their parents. I couldn't WAIT to get out of the house so at 18 I joined the Navy and have not lived at home with my parents since.
So all the people who's parents live with them also fall into this category? That would make most of the Asian and Eskimo world losers. Hmm. Somehow I do not think that is the right answer.
that's absurd TSC, i can understand what you mean, but some people live with their parents so as to not make them feel lonely, or take care of them. or they can't still afford to live on their own, theres a reason for everything :)
and you feel good about it? parents are the most important people in your life, your meant to cherish them
i'd never want to leave my parents, after graduation i'm getting married and move out on my own but i will always go to them and call daily , i hope your doing those things too, they are dear folks who will soon reach the age where they most want you to be with them before they leave this world

@dh I like your thought when it comes to no one being a loser, you have a nice view on the subject! It's sad to say that most people don't have your great attitude. So getting back to the question, which is the point of discussion, have your ever called someone a loser and what made your think that?
On the judgmental quote it comes from a bible verse that says,"Judge not, lest you be judged. For by what measure you judge others, you will be judged also.Meaning if you smoke, don't go around telling others how bad it is for them and that they should quit. So don't be a hypocrite is the meaning.

Absolutely. Also, with their attitude, they'll "lose" out on many of the great things life has to offer.
I like that answer. So by being apathetic to everyone, including themselves, they have no drive and no initiative to win. Is that what you are saying?

Simplistic, but partially correct. What about someone who wins, but by cheating or hurting others in the process? Poor sportsmanship might apply to someone who wins consistently, but who does not honor the game or the sport by being a gracious winner. Does that make him a winner, or a loser?

You must be brilliant, since you were in the minority of people who voted...or did you vote? My description of a loser would have to include those who have no civic pride, no citizenship, and no voting card, even when they are eligible to vote. Or have a card and do not vote. Of course, that would be just one small segment of a description of a loser, not the definition itself. In other words, an example of someone, possibly like zorro, who does not vote and then complains because others voted for or against something or someone the anti-voter did not like. Apathy only goes so far.
