What's your favorite painting(s) of all time, who's your favorite artist(s)?

You can't include my fist computer painting of the coyote looking up at the sky. Lol.

Sculptors may be included as well if you'd like. Works of art as well.

    Good question leeroy.

Thanks M.S., I am an artist and just thought I would bring this up and see what others favorites are.

I remember the coyote well...always knew it was yours...I thought it was great...my eldest is a pretty good artist herself...does a lot of work very similar to your style

Cool, art is such a expressive and deep subject. I've always been searching for a woman who could see the depth of my soul and the true kindness of my heart. We artists are not shallow people, you must be proud of her. Style is one of the most important things in art, if you can have a recognizable style, chances are you will do well, especially if you are very creative.

I have a tiny photo of carol on my dressing table mirror. It's the only picture I have of her. i look at it every day. she was like my sister but she died about ten years ago. sad. sad.

@itsme: Was your comment about the tiny photo of Carol possibly put under the wrong answer?

PS. The classmate I posted the link about grew up in upstate Pennsylvania and after college specialized in paintings of Ireland's beauty. She now has a gallery in upstate NY.

Salvador Dali always has intrigued me with his "melting" freaky, dreamy pictures...(:

Thanks leeroy! hope you are well....my computer is too damn slow lately....need to have my friendly tech invited over for dinner and have him check it out!

Wow I could really get into this one. Each era has its masters; over time I've found late 20th century painting to be the most relevant to me- notably Francis Bacon/Soutine/Lucien Frued/Rauschenburg....I can't seem to get my teeth into minimalists or neoplasticists though; I like activity and texture too much. As for classical painters Goya is terrirfying in best possible sense. I also appreciate Rembrandt/El Grecco and Velasquez. Choosing a favorite painting -its impossible; there seems to be one for every mood or state of mind.

Hey I painted a few paintings reakon anyone would like them? probably not.
    leeroy

Hey, don't beat up your own art! All art is an expression of someone's ideas or emotions, there is beauty in all of it. It's not always about technique.
