yes i have been to Malta many times Valletta - Mosta -Selema - Buggiba and to its sister islands of Gozzo & Comino. The Mosta Dome that survived a German bomb that crashed though the roof without exploding! Also the 3 british Fairy Swordfish torpeddo planes (Stringbags) FAITH, HOPE & CHARITY. The Knights of St. John, and the island was awarded the George Cross by Britain for it,s important roll during WW2. Also i seem to think that Malta still boasts the largest dry dock in the World.

Yes the walled city of Medina was once the capital and dates back to the Punic wars. For those wishing to holiday in Malta, it is a very pretty country. Only problem if you are into sunbathing is the lack of sandy beaches, although the area of St. Pauls further up the coast does have a nice streach of sandy beach. The Malteeze people are very friendly. If you like Lace the place to go is the siser island of Gozzo.
