my car keys are locked inside my trunk of my jaguar xr8 and the battery is dead

the car has been sitting for ahile now because the battery is dead. We tried to pop the trunk but battery isnt strong enough .Its a 1999 jaguar xr8.

It's a smart idea to carry a spare automobile key with you in case you do lock yourself out of your vehicle. After learning the hard way I bought a magnetic key holder like the one shown in the picture above and placed it underneath my car near the front bumper. I'm a little embarrassed to admit it, but that little black box got me out of a jam a few times.

I worried about my key holder falling off, but it stayed in place. You should stop driving so erratically Mrs. Lead Foot!

CB, Now they make them bigger, and kind of pear shaped.
I've got one ....to fit the newer car keys that have a remote on them

My wife carries a key to my truck on her keyring,so does my daughter.So if ever I am stuck I have 2 backups.It's only happened once.

I don't carry an extra key anymore. I have CAA (Canadian Automobile Association) but I haven't locked myself out in many, many years. Older and smarter?? :)

We are way slower here. Popped a tire across from the gas station and it was flat within a mile. Took AAA almost an hour to drive half a mile from that station...but they are a life saver, for sure.
