This question is now 2 years old as are most of the answers which can be confusing as comments are missing due to a couple of users who got banned and also because the comments are out of place because this question was asked on the old forum and then transferred here which messed up the page set up. I would ask him where my flashlight is. I lost it. I would also ask him why people are filled with contempt and hatred. I have been taught that a sin is a sin is a sin and we are forgiven and loved. We are not to judge anyone. While you may judge someone for whom he or she chooses to love... Think about what you have done in your own life. Have you been judged by something you have done in the past? Have you ever felt guilty for anything? All have sinned. Its not about that. Its more about love right? Loving God and each other. Dont judge.. And especially dont let someone feel your anger. Allow them to feel your love. That is what God would want right? I dont want to get involved in a debate here, but Colleen, I have been shamed for who I loved before too. It sucks and honestly... thats between you and God.. and only you and God know your heart. One Love.

Thank you Jess and I'm sorry haters made you feel shame. I have never let them shame me for anything. Yes, God knows my heart. God knows I love & that's all God wants from any of us. I wonder most, why people who hit me with such vile words think I could choose a life for 49 years that brings such hatred and contempt from the ones who look down on me from their staunch religious pedestal. It never ceases to amaze me that they continue to believe I've chosen this life, that I chose to be their target for hate & verbal abuse. All the while believing they are acting in accordance to God's laws.
The vile words she spoke are in other threads. She's chosen not to use them here in what is a more open thread. They can't be buried in a new thread. ; )

The whole world needs the forgiveness and mercy of God, and every one of us needs it because the Bible says that we should repent of our sins and be forgiven. (See Acts 3: 19)
All who do not repent and find forgiveness will inevitably suffer the consequences of their sin just as a criminal has to receive the sentence that the judge decides on, either jail or being fined a lot of money, or whatever. The Bible says, "Sin is the transgression of the law." (1John 3:4) If sin goes unpunished then the law-breakers get worse in the evil deeds that they do!
So then, repentance or asking for forgiveness, is NOT selfishness, but rather doing wrong and expecting to get away with it is the selfish spirit in us. Repenting and finding forgiveness is what God want of us, according to His word, the Bible.
It may be that God is allowing all these awful disasters to happen because He wants people to learn to accept Him as their God instead of the false gods of this world who cannot help them. There are too many false "gods", and I mean things like too much money and over-prosperity which cause people to look to material things instead of eternal things, -the things of God! Too much prosperity for the few usually means poverty for countless millions, and that is a big sin in this world today! The prosperous should learn to share their wealth with those who are in real need, but they usually don't! I live in an area where there are many who are rich because of the horse-racing scenario, and you should see the big, expensive cars they drive around in!! And yet I have seen, in this town, people begging in the street because they are (possibly) in poverty.
So keep asking for forgiveness alan. You will get a blessing from God! Those who don't, won't!

I ask God to help me keep the 10 commandments, and that's because the Bible, -God's inspired Word, says "If ye love Me, keep My commandments." John 14: 15. (See also Exodus 20: 6. Read through verses 1 to 17)
We either love God or hate Him. If we truly love Him we will be obedient to His commandments as found in Exodus 20: 3 to 17.
(Many of the 10 Commandments are also quoted in the New Testament too! The writer's of the New Testament, Matthew, Mark, Paul, etc; their Bible (The Torah) was the same as our Old Testament, and they believed in the keeping of the 10 Commandments.)

It's just like a child who tells his or her Mum or Dad that they love them but refuse to obey when asked to come in and help with something like laying the table for lunch. "Mum, I'm busy playing with so-and-so, and can't come in now!!" Well, Mum will wonder if her son or daughter really means it when they tell her that they love her! "If ye love Me"??? as the Bible says! If someone can't love their own parent, or husband or wife as they have said they do, and so ought to do according to what they say, then how can they really love God who is the great Creator of heaven and earth, and "all that in them is" (Exodus 20: 11).
And by-the-way, Exodus 20: 8 to 11 tells us to keep the Sabbath day holy. And it says that the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord. The true seventh day is the day that Jesus kept holy, and all the apostles and disciples kept holy also, and that is the day we call Saturday and NOT Sunday, which was first legislated as a "holy day" by edict under Constantine the Great back in 321 AD

Those Commandments have never ever been changed! Does the Christian world love Him yet disobey Him? Search the Bible from Genesis to Revelation and you will find no commandment to keep any other day holy than the 7th day! The Creator BEGAN His WORK on the FIRST day!! And ENDED it on the 6th day! Then He made the rest day, -the Sabbath, -the 7th day! We should do the same, IF we love Him!
When there is a conflict of laws, (human laws or God's laws) do we keep the commandments of men and rulers? or the Commandments of God? Do we obey the president of whichever church we adhere to, -pope or whoever? Do we obey them before our obedience to God who created all things? He is the one who we are committed to love supremely, and above all earthly potentates and rulers! So why do we disobey the one and only commandment of God which starts with the word "REMEMBER"? It just is not showing the love we profess for the One whose Commandments we should be obeying! "If ye love Me, keep My commandments." Let's show our love by keeping His laws in completeness. If we find it difficult to do so then, with me, ask Him to help us keep His Commandments.

RELIGION! THE BIBLE! They both need to be outlawed! Too many have died because of religious beliefs! Too many have been persecuted. Too many people hate because of religious beliefs! I don't even care about the hell bit but to act as she did and then think she is above me? Phuck her and her sick and twisted attitude of who God is. I've heard the good Christians say that only God can judge and condemn. Yet you've all fallen silent. No other Christian has called her out to tell her she makes your God look mean and hateful. This is what disgusts me about the mixed up selfish, contradictory religion called Christianity! Judgmental idiots who believe they have the right to hate because their god hates. I'M A LESBIAN! DEAL WITH IT! I WILL NOT CHANGE FOR ANY OF YOU! YOUR GOD INCLUDED! I will stand against verbal abuse every time it's hurled at me. I will no longer attempt to ignore it or attempt to get along with close minded bigots who don't want to get along with me because of who I LOVE. 'his children' friendindeed, i don't mean anything bad by this but just to get it across, i'm a christian also, my parents believe in the bible fully, me; i don't. i just ask my parents all the time "HOW CAN GOD HAVE CHILDREN". i don't mean for them to explain it sexually, LOL. but when i think of god, i think of a supreme being, all-powerful and great, why would he posses a child, he's creation is endless in amount.
i just don't or can't believe the fact that god has a child for some reason, i think of jesus as not a son of god but as a prophet sort of, and my parents are giving me lectures everytime i open this topic. telling me to read the bible and not be distracted by such thoughts.
then again if i'm not distracted by these questions and thoughts, then i'll be just a sheep following another one blindly.

He is going to try again. That's why there's a change coming. What some refer to as the end of the world. The world is not going to end but it will be an ending of times. A new world will emerge from the ashes and the dust. We will start again and build again and hopefully get it right this time where no one will believe they are better than the other. The cause of most strife in this world.

I'm not bewildered at all. I'm actually very secure in what I believe and I fear nothing. I do not fear God because if I did, I could not love him. I do not fear dying because it's a continuation of myself. I have no questions as I already have all the answers as to why we're here and why people are different from each other. I accept all because I understand the why. Too bad you don't understand. Seems to me you're the bewildered one. Not judging you, it's just what I see. You're still being a bad Christian by judging me.
There's no going backwards in reincarnation by the way. Once a human, always a human for as many lifetimes as it takes to learn how to accept all without judgment and to live as God would have us live without attacking others for their beliefs or lives.
dh, there's not really a short way to explain it all. Simple answers: No it's not forever. Eternal life in heaven comes after Soul has experienced all, understands all and has lived all. Then and only then can Soul accept all & love all simply because the all exists and God loves it. Once Soul has achieved that awareness, it can not judge, demand, condemn or believe in destruction of Soul as it knows Soul is a part of God and God can not destroy Himself. There is the earth plane and the heaven worlds. No hell.
Each level of heaven is for different levels of spiritual unfoldment that Soul achieve through living many lifetimes. Nutshell explanation but it would take a lot of typing to explain it all.

Colleen, you will always be unhappy and misserable as long as you express such attitudes. I have no doubt your life is full of unhappy issues. You draw them to yourself like a magnet. A persons wards are a reflection of inner character. Look at the creatures you are attracting to yourself. For the like is always attracted to its like. If you want a change you must try to change your outlook on life.
