Hurt is hurt but itsmee's answer to herself is true also. It can be harder for gays when they do not have people they can share their pain with or when they have to keep their pain bottled up because some don't like to hear about THAT life. They find it to be a poke in the eye of the heterosexual world. SHUT UP AND GET BACK IN THE CLOSET!!! GAYS HAVE NO FEELINGS!!!
The sexual orientation of a person should not matter, pain is pain, hurt is hurt regardless who it affects.
Wouldn't make any difference what so ever.
Maybe there's more secrecy with gays and less chance to "talk it out" and get strong support. It might be a lonesome road even though gays are more accepted than in the past. Maybe more answers will come along.
