Black spiders in North America certainly do bite and do they ever. Just for starters is the black widow and the brown recluse. check the following website - it tells you everything you need to know about poisonous spiders.

hi Evonne he is so much better his name is Henry but harry is a good name also he is on 1/4 of a tablet per day and he is like his old self we still have to watch him as his kidneys are failing but thank god he is still wth us I still think it was collective preys from Q/A everyone said they would prey for him and by the the Monday we were to take him back we noticed a difference and the Vet couldnt belive how he had pulled through he was amazed well done for every ones thoughts and preys and thank you Evonne for you concern

Right Ms Sinclair that was not good advise,some of these spider are very mean,and poison,would of suspect everyone know this.

I once was told to keep the spider there good for house clean, you clean other who are invading your privacy,look up lying in your bed to see if any on ceiling,gradually sliding up into your nose,now that good take your breath away and wonder were did does spider go,just the same they do eat other little bug,could be good to help you clean the house,and nose, should have one big enough so he'd be able to do the vacuum.,cleaning and getting rid of unwanted invader.

short story is spider will eat other bug in you house,you might want to keep them for pet,they don't post any treat,just cleaning other creepy thing

I will not kill a spider, if I see it in my home I will pick it up and take it outside and set it free. having spider in you home is good luck, so I was told all my life. Wife thinks I am crazy but I just can't take the risk of killing one. that's bad luck, all spiders.
There have been a few that scared the bejeebus outta me though, I still managed to trap them and set it free. Wife just smashes them, I told her that's why she has such bad luck.. Once she said, 'what bad luck??' I said...'You married me! :)
