    when there are two antivirus programmes in the computer will it affect the performance

    i just went through this with my computer as well ,using mcaffee as well as house calls trend micro, scaning simitiaionsly ,it seemed liked it only slowed it down a bit while scanning..if that helps..
    Yes they often conflict with each other.
    Yes, they all effect the performance a little. But some of them you won't even notice and other are really heavy and you will be able to see a significant difference. I just changed from Panda to ESET and so far I am very pleased with Eset. Panda was good but it interfered with a lot of the programs I ran. Just keep trying the free versions till you find one that works for you. Also there are a lot of free programs that are good too.
