Horny old bugger aint he?

I went to a game reserve in South Africa and went into an enclosed area with two young male lions (two years old, but still quite large). We were told that we could do this at our own risk. As one of them passed by me I VERY GENTLY let my finger run across his back and he whipped me with his tail. I know it may sound a little crazy but it was quite a thrill.

I love animals, especially cats. I also posed for a picture with a snake around my neck in Morocco. I asked if I could hold a king cobra but the snake charmer looked at me like I was crazy. I've never really been afraid of snakes. I used to play around with them in the woods when I went to summer camp.
Ha Ha. On the other hand I am afraid of rats and most bugs. Go figure. But as you said I do live in N.Y.
you are so lucky my eyes have just turned green with envey I love South Africa Fab place
I use to hill climb motorcycles. Once when riding with some friends we were in Ohio Power country where strip mining had been done, we attempted to climb a high wall where the last 10' was strait up with an over hang of sod at the top.
Had to get a run and hope momentum would carry you over, to make it interesting there was a 3" gas pipe laying along the bottom of the hill.
Only one other rider was going to try it but he only got about half way up and spun out and rolled back down the hill (unhurt).
My turn, got a run and when I hit the 3" pipe I knocked it out of gear and only went up a few feet and rolled back down, well everyone laughs and said try it in gear next time.
I did and this time hit the hill hard and my front wheel was over the top and I thought this is going to hurt rolling back down from this hight I leaned forward and kicked the ground the rear wheel hit the sod and I was on top.
After I got back down I learned several had tried but no one else had ever toped that high wall hill.

That kind of bike climb takes a tremendous amount of guts, or be nuts. I'm guessing a little of each was present at that time.
It's the hi of the climb, better than any drug because it's natural.
When I toped that hill the bike kept going and dumped me, after the hi started to wear off I looked down and said "now I got to go back down that hill" I dropped 15-20' before the wheels hit the dirt.

Do you still work in a coal mine? That is one dangerous job and you have my utmost respect.
Aside of my wife and child..
The first big exciting thing in my life was when I was 23 years old I got my pilots license, although getting the license was exciting, that was blown away when I took my first 'solo' flight and i was in the clouds alone.. Oh what a joy that was..
I think the second was when I was selected from many in an audition to tour with a well known showband in the 70's.. This is an experience i will never forget..

Ms Sinclair your exploratory carrying ons in the woods when you were young and at Summer Camp I find fascinating. Could you provide more explicit details please.

Explicit details? Exactly what do you mean by your question? Either I didn't explain that properly or you just have a very perverse mind PL. What I meant was I used to pick them up and hold them. I also liked to collect salamanders (the little orange ones) and let them crawl over my hands. I asked my mom if I could bring them home but she said definitely not.
