    The only way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you ingest.
    So sensible diet and regular exercise 3-4 times a week. Walking is as good as anything and don`t let the "Health Studios" tell you anything different, they are there as a business to make money.

    Start walking for half an hour at your pace and over a few weeks increase to one hour at a brisk, for you, pace.
    Lots of vegetables and fresh fruit. If you eat meat choose lean cuts and a piece the size of your hand excluding your fingers.
    A neighbor of mine lost weight by eating a plain baked Potatoe before every meal.
