Daren, Daren. Shame on you Buddy. With 4.6 people applying for every available job. Unemployment is the only option for many who can't find work.

Yet 6 people agreed with his answer. I think the public view of things has become obscure. Unemployment can mean someone has lost a job possibly due to downsizing. This is not the same as the people who have made a career out of living on welfare and probably have never had a job because they fear the responsibilities of having a job.

Shame on you wrincles. Social Security is not a welfare system. I have worked since I was 14, I'm 53 now and have been on SSN for the last 2. Took me 2 years prior to that to get it. I don't know what I would do without it - I know you are saying you'd have to go to work. No can do. I've had 5 surgeries in the last year with another coming up on the 19th. Don't knock SSN until you know the reason behind it besides being 65 and deserving it. After all, we all pay into it.
It's called an adult son or daughter who's parents pays all his/her bills----enabling him/ her to stay unemployed.
