                          Queensland Australia 100 kilmeters north of Brisbane averaging 7-11 celsius over night 19--22 celsius. Beautiful clear blue sky ( no not of a night time dummy)

                              Yreka, 20 mile north of Mt Shasta. Cool and rainy last week(40F night and 50F days. Went to 55F last night and 74F this afternoon. Next week 50s F nights and 90s F afternoons. We hav about 6 weeks if summer weather then gradually into fall. Snow at the end of November Winter to February. Then warming gradually.

                                                  9 degrees Celcius this morning but we are promised sun today...I am not holding my breath.


                                                  Living in a rain forest.  That is what they call it but some of these trees are about to go down for town houses very soon.

                                                    It has happened all around us. There were owls but now they are gone. The trees behind our house are the last ones standing (Well sort of...they have been falling over lately. They weren't taken care of and they are on private land). This city doesn't care much for trees and because it is a largely agricultural area (surrounded by prairie) they keep on building up... so the mountains have changed dramatically in the last 10 years.
                                                    It is about trees and salmon in this part of the world.
