Why do Companies do credit checks on potential employees or people that they interview or just receive resumes? Does having bad credit or a low credit score mean that you are a poor candidate for any job whether it be sweeping streets or computer programming. If you are unemployed and having trouble paying off your credit, does the companies out there hold this against you? If you had a job wouldn't it make sense that you would be paying off your credit?, or does it mean that you are going to rip off the company and not do your job, like politicians who never pay back any loans or debt. But if you have a high credit score, does that mean you are a good worker. You could have a high credit score and be very lazy or not even do your job. That is discrimination to the highest form and companies need to know that. No wonder why it is so hard for anyone who is unemployed can not get a job. Even with all the education you have and the experience, just because you have a low credit score means you are not a good employee? I think it is time for these greedy companies to step back and not check on credit scores because each and every time a credit check is down it counts against you in the three credit agencies. Funny how things are done now a days. So if say a CEO who has an excellent credit score from stealing funds from the workers and the company, can obtain a good job anywhere, does this mean he can steal again just to keep his job or high credit score? There needs to be some accountability in these "companies" that are looking for the right person.
