    my fridge was open on a 90 degree day for 10 hours. Do I need to throw out everything?

    Play it safe.Toss it!
    I wouldnt trust it..... milk ,butter, eggs ,cheese , meats ,mayonaise.Seems a waste to throw out, but i would rather peace of mind that i wont get sick .

    Depends if the bacteria has started....you wouldnt know coz you cant see it,but you will certainly know if you eat them and get sick...dont risk it.
    When in doubt, throw it out.
    I agree with the answers already posted.
    well believe it or not no not every thing . things like yellow mustered were and are preservatives. sailors used musterd to preserve meat .
    Depends whether the door was completely open or just ajar. If just ajar, the refrigerator would probably keep MOST things within a safe range. If wide open, probably not.

    it was just ajar but the lightbulb put out a lot of heat and it was really warm in my house so the fridge wasn't much cooler when i checked it. Unfortunately the thermometer was buried somewhere in the back so I don't know what the temp was. And it was open for 10 hours.

    Yeah, the light bulb would have given off quite a bit of heat.
