Entitlement is that attitude of you owe me, or of coarse I deserve this. I have many friends who are on socialized programs and they feel that they are entitled to it, because the government owes them. Sometimes they use the fact that their ancestors were slaves and so were mine but I don't expect any special treatment. I didn't even know my great grandpa, why should the tax payers have to pay me money for something that happened 150 or so years ago.

I suppose it depends on the way you were raised. This doesn't just apply to Black people. There are plenty of people out there of every race that take advantage of the system. So if you are one of them, shame on you. Get educated, get a job and contribute to society, make your family proud.
There are many disabled who need these socialized programs and have a difficult time getting help because of the wrong people taking advantage of the system.

Great question: This is why the country is BROKE. Entitlements that were meant to HELP people get back on their feet became a source of income and a way of life for abusers of the system.
