Despite all the billions of dollars spent on fighting the drug war and locking up the drug cartels, how much more money will the government have to spend in order to completely wipeout the entire drug dealing market in order to stop people from being able to get deadly illegal drugs that kill people and ruin so many lives? The drug dealing scum keep exploiting people to do drugs and its gotta be stopped.
Theres still millions of marijuana smokers, crack smokers, heroin shooters and meth fiends in America today. Thats fucked up. What can the government do to stop all illegal drug sales and use? Why are there still so many drug addicts still able to get them so easily? Dont they know its illegal? Heads are being chopped off, schools are getting bombed and all kinds of chaos continues to happen from these illegal drugs! How can the Government stop this? Maybe have mandatory death penalties for anyone caught with drugs like they do in some parts of Asia. No questions asked, no trial, if anyone has drugs on them, take em out back and shoot em in the head.
Maybe that will stop the drug crisis? Why or why not? Somethings gotta be done to stop all the drugs. What will it take?
For starters drugs it big business for the government. They make billions of dollars per year because of illegal drugs, and they don't want it to stop, that's the illusion. All though I don't agree with most drugs especially pharmaceuticals or any illegal drug known to be highly addictive but marijuana is not a bad drug and should be legalized. It is not the cause of any problems, with the exception of some peoples laziness. Alcohol and tobacco have caused far more damage than marijuana.

Prohibition didn't work and neither does the so-called war on drugs. All this does is make criminals and corrupt government officials richer. I think drugs should be decriminalized and those who need treatment for addiction should receive it instead of going to jail for a nonviolent offense.

Darwin, survival of the fittest. Interfering with the natural course does not make humanity more able to survive. In an open culture without restrictions on drug use, gun possession, product safety, personal behavior, etc. lots of people die. Survivors become tough and savvy. Radicals and anarchist rule and governments become brutal. Controlling the seeds of radicalism and anarchy is vital to cultural survival. The brutal control of drug use and abuse is not necessary. We have always had ways to skirt the law...this too is desirable. Freedoms and barriers make our culture broad enough for a variety of life styles to be enjoyed amid relative peace and security.

As long as we have porous borders and dirty public officials who won't enforce the laws we have on the books, there will always be those who are willing to smuggle drugs into the country for money. If the drug buyers only stopped to realize that they are lining the pockets of those who want to destroy our way of life, maybe they would stop buying from foreigner sources and buy from California. They are broke and need the money . . .

the question was about eliminating the sale AND use of drugs not about where would be best to buy it from.
It will never, ever happen. You are only looking at one side of the coin. Those receiving those billions of dollars, to make it LOOK like justice is being done. I believe that contraband is just recycled and put back on the market. Maybe... Maybe not ours, butt somewhere.
