      I dugged the article about Canton Avenue in Pittsburgh is the unofficial steepest public street in the United States and the world. This street is grade of 37% or 37 feet rise by elevation in 100 feet horizontal.

          Lived in SF for a while. So many brake and transmission shops in that town. Hated walking anywhere there.

          You'll have to ask my wife, who stalled the van (losing power steering and brakes) last week while coming down a very steep road with a hair-pin turn at the bottom.

              I assume this was meant for me... Yes she made it (don't know how) but was extremely upset when she called me. It was a private road way back in the woods, and huge drop-offs at the turn.
