I have been a store manager of this particular store for over a year, but it has been rumored lately that the DM has promised the same store to an old buddy he persuaded to move here from out of state. All of my numbers, inventories, secret shops, appraisals, and undue diligence has made my store one of the top five in the district. The buddy arrived prematurely to our area therefore was put in another store temporarily. Reportedly, the buddy has now bought a home two minutes from my store even though he is working 20 minutes away at the other store, apparently with the thought of taking over my store. As recent as two weeks ago, tides have changed. The DM is apparently trying to submarine me by calling me in about customer hotline complaints; I have never had a single one in the past 36 years); as recent as a few months ago when he persuaded me to go through a new upper management program which I fully accomplished with praise, he would commend me on a job well done but now he is acting indifferent, he is not responding with any assistance,he neglects to give recognition for long hours and excellent numbers, good inventory counts, good conditions, good ratios, etc. He has recently orchestrated a scenario to make me look bad just to be able to transfer his buddy and move me to a more distant location where I will have a long commute to and from work. I look at this manuever as an unfair labor practice on the part of a very large Corporation. How can I stop the insanity of being their skapegoat without losing my opportunity of continue to carry on my success rate without being uprooted and moved to parts unknown. Where is the protection for middle management, HR is no friend and we don't have a union as managers.
