    Hey,
    Acidity is the level below 7 on the pH scale. The lower the number, the worse the acid. 7 is considered safe such as a glass of tap water. If the number of pH exceeds seven you are getting into base or akaline levels. Hence, "Alka" Selzter. Acids and bases can cancel each other out. Soap is bitter because bases are bitter such as soap. Acids are sour, such as lemons. Hope this helps.

    Acidity is a measure of 'free' hydrogen electrons in a substance/chemical element/compound. Hence the term 'pH', or 'per hydrogen'. The more H, the more acidic.
