Why would you choose to default on your student loans ? That wasn't the deal. If you knew that you wouldn't repay your loans, why did you continue to borrow under false pretenses ?

TB, "...what do you have to say about the bailout of car manufacturers, commercial, and mortgage banks?..."

In perfect alignment with consistency and with common sense, I find ALL bailouts repulsive despite the fact that the three examples that you referred to, it could be argued, made significant contributions to the economy before sucking at the public trough.

Students, on the other hand, only hold a PROMISE of future economic contribution.

Instead of pointing at corporate welfare bums as a means of justifying your deceitful ways, why not emulate the millions of honorable students,past and present, that have flipped burgers and chosen to start their careers on the right moral track ?
