    "Maybe the app is conflicting with your computer system" What does this mean?

    I got this answer for my orginial question "I have Win 7 & my e-mail is Live Mail, why do some of my e-mil folders disappear?"
    Now I don't know what is meant by "app"

    If you have an old operating system, the Windows application you are having issues with, namely the email service may have information in it's programming that your operating system does not recognize. You need to take this issue to microsoft to find out why files from their e-mail service are disappearing off your computer. There could be a conflict between the e-mail and your operating system.
