SAD Seasonal Affected Disorder is believed to be caused by insufficient sunlight on the face. My experience with SAD has been depression, usually in January and February. Sunlight helps a lot and so I work outside in my yard and garden whenever I can when the day is sunny. Otherwise I'll sit with bright full spectrum lights whenever I can. There are prescription Meds that help. Hope that helps.
