How can I keep myself from over packing for a short 7 day trip?

I'm going to visit my children and grandchildren for a week and I ALWAYS over pack. We never do much but hang out by the pool, maybe informal dinners out, stuff like that. Going to Philly to get a cheese-steak and see some historical stuff and that's about it.

maybe you should just stay longer to compensate for over packing.
May I suggest, you take a much smaller, Luggage bag or case, It worked for me in past.

Good luck, Yvonne. Enjoy your holidays.

Make a list what you will wear for each outing. You can repeat dress clothes. Carry two tops for one pair of slacks/skirts, if you carry 2 slacks, thats 4 tops. Two bathing suites. Wear tennis shoes, and carry one pair of dress shoes. It works for me. Make sure tennis shoes goes with your clothes. I like walking tours and museums, so tennis shoes work best for me. Clean under clothes for everyday you are gone. Have fun.

Remember...your children likely have a washing machine and dryer! ;) Have a great time!! Don't spoil them too much, but enough!!
