Well I will be buggered, all the so called biblers and no one has it right.
It comes from the Latin anno Domini, meaning the year of our lord, bloody hell I learned that in year 1 English at high school.
What education system do you have where ever you come from?
Anno is a part of annus (not that anus)which is where we get annual from and Domini is Lord so year of our Lord.
Nothing what so ever to do with "the death of Jesus" In fact it is the year Jesus is believed to have been born.
