I was in a transition. We had one group date which I did not want all the others there. He startled me by out of the blue asking if he could call me. I didn't know what to say so said nothing then. I guess he took it as no. It wasn't. I tried to be friendly after that and I thought he knew it. But an older woman sunk her fangs into him and proclaimed he was hers. I accepted that but still tried to be friends and find some common ground if they split. I have not tried get in the middle but just to be there in the background. I got a message to not bother him and it really hurt. It wasn't his words but hers. So I said good bye. Haven't tried to contact him in about 5 months. My heart still hurts but I am trying to move on. Have I done the right thing??

Never give up trying, unless this guy tells you straigh out, There is no hope. This guy did ask for your fone no, and misunderstood, that no reply was, a no. It was your fault in first place, now you must try harder. Good Luck.
