Dental Visits

Are dental services generally provided free of charge in your country by means of employer-paid benefits or through private insurance plans paid by you? Or do you simply pay as you go?

i guess it all depends on your situation. here in the us some have insurance, some dont .personaly i pay as i go. under obamas proposal we'd all be paying through the nose, or should i say the mouth

both on average its a 70/30 with the employer paying the bulk

Many employers include dental insurance, and the employee pays a portion of the costs. Seniors can purchase dental insurance, with the deductible, too. I pay full price.... $95 for cleaning, over $1000 for a gold crown for this princess.

Here in Aus we pay for everything, I pay for health insurance and it's expensive, those unemployed or on a pension have a concession card and are entitled to free govt. treatment, but the waiting lists are very long.

In the UK the National Health Service is paid out of taxation.
There is a charge for treatment depending on how much is needed. Kids and pregnant women get free treatment.
Charges are low, but Brits don't like paying and dentists don't earn much.

Interesting. In Canada, dental care is not part of our universal health care system. Dentists are very well remunerated.

In Aussie if you have private health you will be covered by about 90% depending on the level of your cover,but we have to pay for our own private health,if you are not in private health you will pay extra tax..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<..
