    if you have an income of 1800 a month how does this affect benefits

    It depend on were you are receiving the $1800 from. If it is a pension and you are over 65yrs old, you will still get your S.S. If under 65 and you receive the $1800 from a disability suffered on the job, then you will not qualify for S.S.D. In TX you can earn like $900 a month and still get the minimum S.S. amount. A lot depends on the state. I broke my back 7 years ago and had to deal with it all. I wish you the best, friend.
