    you have several choices,bug and tar remover,wd-40,nail polish remover and lighter fluid will do the trick without hurting your cars paint. saturate the ares that need be and use a soft cloth gently as not to harm the paint,maybe using a razor on the tough areas... hope this helps

    I disagree with the nail polish remover.. It's 90% 'acetone' 10% oils and fragrance.. It will eat the paint right off your car.. Put some in a plastic styro cup someday, it'll eat the bottom right out.

    Google can get you in a heap o' trouble if you don't add a bit of common sense to it.. No way I will put acetone on my car.. It's 'designed' to remove paint! Uh.. fingernail 'paint'.. :)
    WD-40, its perfect for this.. Put it on, dab off the excess and wait about 15 minutes, it will wipe the glue residue right off and not harm your paint..
