No wrinkles, being able to sit on the floor without needing help to get up, wearing a bikini, eating anything I wanted and not regretting it.
the freedom to be myself without all the responsibility.
    My childhood!

We got to eat. That was our weekly allowance.
Of course we also had to work on the farm to earn our food.

Something tells me, we got screwed.

No way Colleen, I was the same, saddle the horse take the calves out to the back paddock then walk 2 miles to school bare foot.

What we had makes us what we are and I am proud of what I am now. (hasn`t always been the case)

    What allowance ?
    mycatsmom

To People Lover ----I spent my whole childhood wishing for a horse, a swing set, and a sand box. My parents said NO to everything. A kids back yard pool would be nice too

Ditto to that People lover.I went to school barefoot. After the milking.I was allowed to do an afternoon paper route for allowance money, but then still had chores to do when I got home.
    Beeing Carefree.
The opportunity to not make the mistakes that I did. Those mistakes on my part cost me dearly and the price I have paid cost me to this day…but I also learned along the way when to dodge bullets and sometimes it is best for others to give you a better choice by forcing me to leave. Not everything that happens is a happy choice when opportunities are not accepted and love denied. Everyday life is not trivial, and routines, though seeming to be boring, can make all the difference in your success tomorrow. What I miss the most from my youth is all those people I knew and loved.
I have all the same urges I had in my youth. Some of them I forget what I have them for. lol

    Hahahahahhah
Freedom without all the stresses like bills and more bills, the laughter,I had wonderful parents that gave me and my only brother everything we ever needed, vacations in Hawaii, amusement park trips regularly, dodger stadium,I had an awesome childhood, those memories are the best.We were truly blessed.:)
I miss being able to have fun without wondering what other people might be thinking of me.I have tried to think at what point in my life did it begin to matter and when was the first time I felt silly.
    mycatsmom

I remember that, mom. It started at about the sixth grade. I never felt self concouis till then . And of course, Jr. High was a big cultural shock! 3 years of hell . Now days, it's what they call Middle School
    The simple things in life.
My friends and the carefree time we spent together
Not a damn thing. Fond memories started after I left home at sixteen.

that is some question, now that i'm on the downhill side i would love to go back to the sixties, as a teenager it was absolutely fantastic the best time of my life!
I miss having fun and not worring about money and bills, I really miss playng catch.
    freedom of choice
Being able to ride my Harley dirt bike, hill climbing.
going shopping with my mom. i got this blue polished cotton dress with a full skirt and i'd go dancing. i'd twirl and the skirt would twirl out and i was happy.
