Get atta here. Canadian is the purest and most comprehensible form of English on the planet. All other versions are heavily-accented dialects...and that includes the original Limey version. Eh ? :-)

Tommyh, I know what you mean. Up here,we can't detect the subtle differences between Australians and New Zealanders although I'm sure that you can spot a kiwi a mile away,right?

Same goes for Canadians and Americans. We both know we're from different countries right from the initial greeting. Somehow, we manage to get along rather well.

Not just Kiwis Digger.People from different states in the country have distinctly different accents.For instance I come from Queensland & we tend to drawl.I can spot a Victorian a mile away.
