Democrats demand that those they don't like be shut down.
If a Republican is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A Democrat non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.
If a Republican decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it..
A Democrat demands that the rest of us pay for his.

They would have outlawed them if it weren't for the tax money generated.

EXAMPLE--
If you don't smoke you would vote for laws to outlaw cigarettes not worrying about the smokers rights.
So we're quick to vote away others rights if it don't hurt us, me included, and I believe it's time to think what we want and what we really need and let's not step on others rights.

That email ended up at my address, also. It definitely is a sterotype, but the answer to "which side of the fence?" should be answered

(As far as the debate, it's a great way to get your brain going and a challenge to present yourself succinctly and coherently. The problem with the comparison of Dems and Reps really is one-sided and tongue-in-cheek. If someone wants to be offended by it, it indicates (to me) the person might be defensive. Personally, I think parts of both sides of THAT fence carry truth and humor.

The analegy is actually pretty accurate with the conservative points of views. If we were to actually read into most of that email you received from this, we could probably add different points to each example. Like the gun thing and democrats not liking them. It isn't really accurate. I have democrats for friends and they are gun buffs. I'm a Constitutional Conservative and sometimes rant a little to much.Liberals tend to look at matters in a hypethetical situation and advance issues to a different level, as conservatism is pretty much stable in thought of what matters with religion and morality combined. That's what separates the parties in government. I hate to admit it .. but conservatives are fearful of change. I feel we do need to hang on to our Constitution!
