Spaceghost - thank you for your TU - what was strange about "Colour Purple" for me when I saw the film in a cinema for the first time is that there were many young black people in the audience who made such a noise and were mocking the old world of speaking - spoiled it for me and my Jamaican friend then but have seen it more than once since great film and how great Whoopie Goldberg - really like this film and have read the book Alice Walker. I will never forget that guy in the Green Mile can see his face at the  end.
