I had lice when I was in the 8th or 9th grade. I think my "Cootie infested" brother brought them home from school to share with the family. LOL

Not many kids escape nits.The rotten thing about them is they only like nice clean hair.you can get a special hair wash at the pharmacy which is a one off & easy to use.

Nits are simply the eggs of head lice or body lice. It is much more common for school kids to get head lice then body lice. After you wash their hair, you have to look at individual hairs to make sure the nits (eggs) are gone. They are little tear-drop shaped things that cling to the side of the hair.....about an inch or two from the root.Scrape off, or take a fine nit comb and comb off as many nits as you can.

I've had them, my kids had them. A good way to get rid of them is to focus the hair-dryer on the head and brush it (the hair). The heat kills the lice and loosens the nits or eggs from the hair which makes them easy to brush out.

To get rid of head lice, apply a conditioner liberally to the hair and leave it there until it dries, about an hour, then wash it off. Apparently this suffocates the bugs and does not involve using toxic chemicals.
