    The following is what happens.
Turn on computor, message appears bottom RH Cnr "Your computor may be at risk automatic updates switched off. Click baloon to fix"
I click and at centre screen message "Auto updates off, fire wall on, virus protection on"
In this message is "turn on updates"
    I click "turn on updates"
Another message "Sorry security centre could not change settings for auto updates"
I go to automatic updates through normal procedure ,click Auto Update On.
Still will not come on. Brilliant minds please apply.

I found it is better if you leave it off because otherwise it slows down your computer each time it tries to update. Just do a manual update about once a week, just before it does your weekly virus check.
Thanks FF I am actualy running a hourly virus check as I had some body playing silly buggers. A Virus Protection Company ,not AVG, kept telling me I had 31 viruses and to purchase their programe to fix.
I contacted AVG and eventualy I reprogrammed my AVG disc into the computor but that is when the message stated to appear "Auto Updates switched off"
I have been going over the top with the virus check just to be sure.
    Thanks again all suggestions appreciated.
