Ever seen those documentaries on preachers casting demons out of people in their congregation? They press their bible or a cross against their head and scream and shout at the demon to leave the person.

1) If a person is possessed they are not a Christian. To be a Christian one must be indwelled by the Spirit of Christ/Holy Spirit, (born again). Once one has the Holy Spirit of Christ living in them there is no way an evil spirit can enter.

2) The examples given in God's Word concerning casting out demons do not include pressing "holy" objects on the person and spending hours screaming at the demon to leave. Demons are cast out simply by a spoken word by a true Christian in the name of Jesus Christ and by fasting and prayer.

God is not evoked into action by props and sacred prayers or the sprinkling of "holy" water. It doesn't work that way, so when you see them on TV performing for the cameras don't be taken in by them.

Jesus chased away demons from people that were possessed,but I don't see a christian being possessed,because God is in their heart body and soul,Satan wouldn't stand a chance.Even in the fictitious movie the Exorcist they weren't Christians,they were kinda like atheists or hadn't taken an interest in religion,but once her daughter became possessed she ran to the catholic church and priests for her daughters salvation,now that was interesting.

The human mind can be altered in a bewildering number of ways that should be made crimes. It is astonishing how many ways with and without a persons agreement that this is possible and happens quite often. The idea of possession is not likely. But there are those who use distraction to pick pockets. A persons illiteracy to steal. Confidence to impose guilt and to then blackmail into criminal behavior. The list goes on and on. Possession? Why bother? When we have people who will wear a bomb into a crowd to save their family from being murdered? Have a dose of reality occasionally.

True Christians can't be possessed. However, they can be oppressed or persecuted. The more in tune you are with doing the will of God in your life, the more oppressed and persecuted you will be.

FF answers from the word of God. He has only repeated what he has learned from God as revealed in His Word. You have to understand, True Christians do not make up their own answers to religious questions, we give our answers as we have learned them from God's Word.

As you will notice time and time again on this board, the more we answer in line with Jesus Christ's Word, the more we will be ridiculed, or "persecuted". Thus, making God's word true.
