The last I heard, the island was uninhabited by humans. The bears can be quite large and aggressive. A few hunters manage to escape...occasionally. Their favorite activity is stealthily hunting anything smaller than they are and eating it. You are welcome to go there for a visit with the natives and engage them with your charm and wit in a game of poker perhaps. Of course, with an 18” long jaw I bet their tongue is over 24” long…who could resist, such a tease?
lol good one george, i used to go there every summer when we seen a bear it wasnt as aggressive as everyone says :| i was sorta hoping for a run scene like in a movie lol
http://www.kodiakdailymirror.com/ according to their newspaper My assessment of Kodiak is not up to date, perhaps due to my source of info being old books I read as a child which were vividly descriptive. Apparently Kodiak looks like a nice place to visit on line at least.
see the bears .....go to the town of KODIAK....there bare tours available to the mainland and plenty of fishing...
    See Russia.
